FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS A "STANDARD" APPOINTMENT?

There is no thing as a standard appointment, this is because of the individual nature of each animal I work with.

There is a to do list for each appointment, which includes assessment of posture, movement and palpation as well as a treatment of problem areas. However the order may alter with each animal and from session to session depending on many factors.

The most important thing for me is a positive experience, working with the animal

IS IT WORTH IT?

There are still the worries that its just stroking or many other things, however in my personal belief physiotherapy is so much more.

The possibilities are endless, from dogs that are able to walk again following surgeries, or strokes, to horses that can run faster, jump higher, and prevention from injury. Physiotherapy plays a vital role within all of these scenarios!

One of the reasons I pursued this career is because of my personal experiences and seeing the results achieved.

I am more than happy to discuss with you the science behind each and every one of my chosen therapies

DO I NEED A VET’S REFERRAL?

Yes! But this is easily sorted, if you wish to book in, please do contact me, I have a referral form that I need yourself to fill out and then your vet to sign.

Its that simple!

IS IT SAFE?

There are always risk assessments undertaken for yourself, your animals and my own safety.

This includes control of disease, I will be disinfecting all equipment (and myself!) between each appointment. This minimises any infections spreading between animals and locations.

In this current climate I will also be remaining up to date with the current COVID restrictions and implementing any measures required to keep everybody safe.
